Finding a therapist you can connect with is the most important step in beginning the process of change and healing. Through an empathic and non-judgmental approach, I aim to guide my patients through self-exploration so they can initiate ongoing meaningful change in their lives.
Common Challenges
Patients who come to see me in private practice are typically seeking insight into their distressing mental and physical health symptoms, challenging relationship dynamics, issues related to neurodivergence (ADHD and/or ASD), destructive behavioral or social patterns, and low self-esteem. These difficulties are often associated with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, OCD, impulsivity, emotion dysregulation, and sensory challenges, among others. Whether your difficulties stem from previous trauma, neurodivergence, or patterns of functioning learned during your upbringing, we tend to repeat what we don’t repair.

Treatment Approach
I take a holistic approach to treatment by considering the roles of psychological, somatic, neurodevelopmental, social, and environmental factors in perpetuating difficulties. While I have received extensive training in several evidence-based treatments, my therapeutic orientation is primarily rooted in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory. However, I carefully tailor treatment to each individual patient and utilize techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based behavioral therapies (DBT and ACT), and mentalization-based treatment (MBT). Teaching social and communication skills is often a significant portion of my work with adolescent patients as well.
